Kisii County Governor James Ongwae Has allegedly appointed his father as the chairman of the Kisii county land board
Its also alleged that the same Governor, illegally used county coffers to pay hired goons to heckle government leaders at the funeral of the Rioma secondary school accident victims.
When confronted by the blogger via a text message, Ongwae responded angrily and threatened to find out who he is and take action. Here is the sms exchange between the two unfolded:
Mugo: KISII COUNTY does not belong to your family. You’ve reportedly appointed your father and other relatives to manage county affairs. That’s unacceptable. It’s blatant nepotism and corruption. You can quote me in any forum
James Ongwae: I will definitely find out who you are and take action. My father is 92 years. He can only see with one eye because of failing eyesight. Whoever you are i will take action for sure
Mugo: Governor, you don’t need to struggle finding out who I’m. I’m Mugo Wa Wairimu a patriotic Kenyan and a registered voter who won’t keep quite when such reaches him. I’m not even from Kisii county but that’s not important. I’m a Kenyan and I reserve the right to question ANY elected leader. A good leader explains when questioned, not throwing tantrums. That’s my contact. The alternative is 0722**5127. I’m reachable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days in a year
James Ongwae: Thanks mugo. Since you are a patriotic leader, in future dont do tantrums as you say. Do proper research. In the meantime if that is indeed your number you will hear from me soon. Thanks
The governor has not come out to defend himself against these claims.
